For those of us who are mixed, bi-cultural and/or multicultural people of colour, language can become a home for us, and we’re often in relationship with many languages that speak to our stories of belonging.

At our Mother Tongue Gatherings, we’ll be spending time together in community, creating a fun and safe space for us to explore and deepen our relationships to the languages we’re connected to.

Feel free to come with a pack lunch, a blanket or mat, a notebook and writing materials, or anything you personally use to explore your language(s). For example, it might be artistic materials, a language book, a novel or poetry in your chosen language, or materials for calligraphy art (as well as other things not mentioned here!).
